Still Counting

This entry is about my best buddy. Her real name is Nor Fakhira. I called her Iyra. This entry is very special to me, and maybe a surprise to her. I admit that I have a lot of best friends, but I choose her because I’ve been thinking about her a lot lately. I love her so much and I bet no one could understand how much she meant to me. There are so many reasons to love her. Here I give 7.

1. Beautiful
Yes she is. She’s tall. She has a beautiful eyes and a beautiful smile. She is just another Taylor Swift to me. She does angry every time I call her Taylor, but.. well.. sorry not sorry. She also has the beauty inside her. I never saw her being bad to other people. She never intentionally hurt others’ feelings. She’s very sincere in helping people, I can see that.

2. You can count on her
I trust her. She always there every time I need her. She helped me A LOT. She’d never disappoint me.

3. Funny
She has a crazy head. When I am with my group of friends, she is the one who always cheers us up, makes us laugh. She is definitely not a boring person. I kind of miss our big laugh right now.

4. Sugar
I remember when we studied in Bangi, I told her that I’m craving for Big Apple doughnut. Two or three days later she brought me a box of six Big Apple doughnut. I was touched. Another story, I once gave her Kinder Bueno because I saw her tweet saying that she wants the chocolate. Then she hit me back with Starbucks green tea frappe, which is my favourite.

5. Good listener and advisor
Tell her anything, she’ll 100% lend her ear and will give a great positive solution. Everyone knows that a good friend is the one who you can share your problem with. With her, you can share almost anything, and she’ll give a good response and advice. Her advice usually works.

6. Very cool
She takes things very simply. She doesn’t complicate things. I seldom see her stress. I know she might feel stress sometimes but what I’m trying to say is she is good at control her stress. Also, she has a high level of patience. She’s very strong. That’s what I love about her the most.

7. Down to earth
She never shows off her expensive stuff. She never shows off her excellent GPA. Enough said.

7 points because we have known each other since we were 7 years old. We were in the same school, same class since Standard 1 until Standard 6. We split for five years (Form 1 – Form 5) but still being best friends, and coincidentally entered the same college, live in the same dorm for the entire Diploma years. Now we both studied in UiTM, but she’s in Penang. Among my best friends, she’s the nearest to me. I called it as a beautiful fate. Alhamdulillah, Allah planned the best for our friendship.

HAPPY 11th YEARS OF FRIENDSHIP

Quote 2

This quote is such a motivation, especially when you are feeling down, either because of your own mistakes or any other reason.

Life is like a wheel, you’re not always at the top, you will be at the bottom. You must be. When you’re at the top, you win and when you are at the bottom, it doesn't mean that you lose, but you learn a precious lesson which the lesson will bring you at the top back again.

Quote 1

First I heard about this quote, what’s on my mind was, “how I want people to remember me after I die?”

This quote is such a reminder for me of Allah to worship Him, perform more ibadah. Always ask myself whether I’m ready to face the death. It is also such a guide to me to be a better person to other people. It reminds me to perform good deeds such as be good to family, friends and other people. I have to make them happy since I’m going to die tomorrow. It makes me more sincere in everything that I do. This quote also can be a motivation which motivates me to do what I want in life. Try hard to be what I want to be in this life. Try hard to fulfill and achieve all goals before I die.

Fictions.

It is a free topic but it took me quite some times to think. After a week, which is today, I finally decided to share some of my favourite novels.

A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini.
He has another bestselling book, titled, The Kite Runner, which also his first novel. But I haven’t read it yet. I’m not sure what makes me buy this book. I just buy it (using my BB1M). The book has only 417 pages but I took about a month to finish it. It’s not I didn’t enjoy the book. I did enjoy reading it so much. The thing is, well, I don’t really like reading, so…

The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks.
The story is about a marine found a photograph of a smiling woman buried in the dirt during his tour duty. Since then, he experienced a sudden streak of luck. That makes him belief that the photo is his lucky charm. Back home in Colorado, he decided to find the woman. This novel has actually been filmed. And my Zac Efron was the hero.

One Summer by David Baldacci.
This book is about the love of a single father towards his three children. He struggled to rebuild their lives after his wife’s death. At the end, they learnt the biggest lesson, which the importance of family.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky.
Again, has been filmed. Starred by my boyfriend, Logan Lerman (but he doesn’t know it yet) and Emma Watson. The story is kind of weird to me but I love it.

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.
This novel has also been filmed. It is about the love between a couple, and both are suffering for cancer, and actually dying. The hero dies at the end of the story. I actually cry every time I read or watch it. Big thumbs up.

I actually have many to share but my laptop is run out of battery. And it is half past twelve already. I’m going to end my entry here because I better sleep. Got to wake up early tomorrow for a jog. Bye!

2020

Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad has established the Wawasan 2020. It is approximately 5 years from now. To be exact, it is 4 years, 8 months and 24 days from now. It’s our country’s goal. I have my own goal for the next 5 years too.

First, I will have about two years working experience. My ambition is to be a lecturer to a subject that related to calculation. But I think in five years I would probably not working as a lecturer yet, but working at bank. I choose to work at bank first instead of being a lecturer right after I graduate because I think I can’t be a better lecturer without any working experience.

Second, I will have a good financial standing. On that time I would probably think of buying a house. I would like to own a condominium in Kuala Lumpur. It sounds kind of insane I think but that is my plan. 5 years or 10 years, I will be living in a condo.

Third, I’ll be a newlywed bride. I am 28 years old on that time and I think that is kind of late but that is fine. I’m okay with that.

Forth, I'll be in the middle of learning more about baking and business so that I can open my own business.

Those four are basically my goals in five years. I have another two years left to graduate as a degree student. I am currently doing my best to fix my weaknesses, and to get the best result in my studies so that I can achieve my goals.

The Strengths and The Weaknesses

I will continue writing entries as Me from now. Strength. The first thing that pops up in my mind every time I see the word is, “no, I don’t have one”. I know I’m wrong because I believe that every single person living in this world has their own abilities. But every time I need to list my strengths, I had only able to give 2. When it comes to the weaknesses, I could probably list 22. But today I’ll list six strengths (I’ll try my best) and weaknesses.

The Strengths

I can work with people
I have a very good health (sight, body, stamina)
I am a punctual person
I can handle my emotion
I am honest
I have strong spirit

The Weaknesses

I am forgetful
I have low self-esteem
I get nervous easily
I am not creative
I am not good in English
I hate risk

I am currently in the middle of improving my weaknesses. I’m trying.

The Author

Hi. I have this one best friend which I know her very well. We have been best friends since 1992. I follow her every time. Never once I distance myself from her. She’s a girl.

Now let me introduce her name. Her name is Amirah Mohd Akhir. She has a younger sister named, Adilah. I’ve been told that her mother likes simple names. Amirah. Adilah. Aren’t those names simple? I called her Mira by the way, which is simpler than what her mother has named her.

She’s 23 and celebrates her birthday on every 1st July, since 1992. She was perfectly born and raised in Kuala Lumpur. She only has two siblings. Adilah, her only sister is 5 years younger than her. Her mother, 54 was born in Ipoh, Perak while her dad, a year younger than her mom, was born in Negeri Sembilan.

What she does every day is listen to songs and sing along. She loves Ed Sheeran so much. I love Ed too. Other than that, she loves to watch sad-romance movies such as The Notebook. The sadder the film is, the more stars she’ll give. She doesn’t like reading but she did read some books, and currently reading ‘The Other Side of The Coin’ by Aiman Azlan & Ameen Misran. Furthermore, she also has interest on baking. Right, I think that is quite a lot of information about her.

I’m talking about the author of this blog, which is me.
